Finding your style can be difficult if you’re clueless about what you like. That’s what I’m here for!
Everyone has someone’s style whom they admire. My personal style inspiration depends on what look I want to go for. Go on Pinterest or WeHeartIt for loads of style photos that will help. Personally, I always look towards Margot Lee, you guys know how much you love her content. If you like a certain celebrity, check out their Instagram for some inspiration.
Dress for Your Flaws:
Everyone has flaws, and we try to distract people from them. If you have short legs, wear high waisted jeans. And if you have something that you absolutely want to show off, do it. Small waist? Wear skirts that start at the waist. Show what you like, but embrace what you don’t. Don’t dress to make you look better, dress to make you feel good. You’re beautiful anyway.
Find what catches your eye. Try it on. If you like it, buy it. You’re one step closer to finding what you like, and want to wear. I go to stores all the time, and fall in love with something I never thought I would. Just keep an open mind. Try to find cool items online from store you like. You never know what you are going to find out there that you might love.
Don’t Worry About Liking the Same Things:
So remember that you don’t have to be influenced by the same types of style everyday. Wear what you want. Go from a backless dress to a band tee. It’s fun to experiment, don’t be rigid.
Don’t Shop By Gender:
Gender roles are stupid. If you like an item wear it, you can pull it off as long as you’re confident. I wear men/boy clothing all the time. It’s no big deal. Boys have cooler shirts for some reason. You can find something amazing in a different section, just try it out.
Dress For You:
Trends mean nothing. If you want to wear clothing from the Victorian Era if that’s what you like. Be you no matter what. Dress in what you enjoy wearing throughout your entire life. Other people’s tastes, and lifestyle doesn’t make you less.
Best Wishes ♥ I’m sorry if you don’t like such a chatty post, but I wanted to share this with you.
